Welcome...

St Jude's Brewery

St Jude's Brewery is situated in an 18th century coach-house near the town centre of Ipswich.

"Who was St Jude?" you're probably asking. He is the patron saint of desperate times, the impossible and hopeless cases.

We have a seven barrel brew-plant and aim to produce traditional ales to meet everyone's taste buds. We have a female brewer (brewster) who designs our ales to appeal to ladies as well as gents, as Real Ale is becoming more attractive to female drinkers, with celebrities like Madonna and Gwen Stefani being prominent Real Ale lovers.

We aim to be as green as possible in our operation. Spent grain is used to fertilise local allotments and the hot water from brews is used to clean our equipment. We would also appreciate it if customers returned bottles to us after enjoying their contents, so we can re-use them.

Our bottled beers are bottled conditioned and may contain sediment from the natural fermentation process. Pour carefully and slightly high for a clear glass of beer.

Our vegetarian and vegan beers are free from animal products and therefore may remain slightly cloudy.
